Ghost Town

We took the kids to the old mining ghost town back in February and it was a lot of fun! Who knew we had something so cool so close to home?? The kids LOVED the train ride and going down into the mine the best.

Waiting for the train.

Happy to be on the train

Waiting for our tour of the Mine

Caiden kept trying to sneak over and head down the stairs into the dark mine…here he is running back to me after getting “caught”

Kayli was thrilled to be down in the mine, can you tell? I dont remember what she was pouting about here…

Tractor Time!

Checking out the Snakes. Kayli was a little freaked out, but Caiden was LOVING it! My Dad had to stop him from touching the glass so that we wouldnt get kicked out.

Kayli is 4!!!

This year I let Kayli pick what she wanted to do for her birthday! I gave her some options and for about a week she would jump around from one option to another. We were at the mall one day and there was a little girl having a Build a Bear party and she couldnt take her eyes off of the party even though she was playing on the mall playground! She talked about it the whole way home and asked me to remind her what her options were, Build a Bear was NOT one of them, but I told her Id look into it! It was one of the easiest parties I have ever done that is for sure! The kids each got to make a build a bear to take home and then afterwards we went back to our house for pizza, cake and presents! Everyone had a BLAST!!!

The Build a Bear Process. Kissing the hearts, stuffing, and washing!

Kayli and her puppy she named Prince Charming!

Kayli and the BIG BEAR cake I made!

The kids thought it was great that they got to pick which part of the bear to eat! Poor bear!

Showing off her horse necklace from Goddess…one of her favorites!

CUTE boy!!

Caiden is such a happy little boy! He is a sweetheart and loves to give kisses and hugs. When any of the kids are crying he will stop what he is doing to go over and give them “loves” to make them feel better. Sometimes that proves to be a disaster because he ends up getting pushing away leaving him with hurt feelings and crying right along with them. Other times it actually works and there are happy kids once again!

He is super friendly and talks and waves to EVERYONE! Im going to really have to work on stranger danger with him! He loves to say goodbye to people and will wave and say “Bye You” over and over again until they are no longer in sight!

He is my little ham and LOVES to be the center of attention. Any time he sees a camera he says “cheese” and doesn’t stop until the camera disappears. He doesn’t like it when I get the camera out to take pictures of someone other than him so I always have to take his picture too! He is smart and figures out what Im taking a picture of and squeezes right in! So I have LOTS of pictures of him that look like this…

He likes to play with all of Kayli’s favorite toys. He watches her and when she sets something down he is all over it. Kayli has been carrying this purse around lately and he finally got his hands on it when she was in bed!

I love the frankenstein arm to keep the purse on his shoulder!

He has his occasional drama as well, mostly caused by Kayli or the word “No”, but he really is a happy happy boy! Everywhere we go people comment about how happy he is! I Love You Baby Boy!!

A Day in the Life of Kayli…

You never know what you are going to get with this little girl around! She is so much fun and full of so much energy. Then of course there is the DRAMA side of her! Some days are worse than others, but for the most part the lay on the floor tantrums have ended (hallelujah!)

I just uploaded all of January’s pics and I got such a good laugh seeing these pictures of Kayli! ENJOY!

She was mad at me for making her leave Goddess’ house so I got out the camera and told her “Whatever you do dont smile”

She was sooo proud of this hairdo. She kept telling me “Mom I did it all by myself”. I could NOT stop laughing. Now its a game for her when she spots my black headbands she says “Mom do you want to see me do it again?”

She LOVES to play dress up and put on jewelry pretty much on a daily basis. This day she actually did pretty good at looking stylish! (Yes she dresses herself as well LOL)

I love that her eyes are totally peeking over the glasses!

Then there are her peaceful moments (few and far between). She loves books and ever since Grandma and Grandpa Madsen bought her the LeapFrog Tag Reader she sits and reads books to herself (even the ones that dont work with Tag). She didnt even look up when I snapped these pictures of her she was so into her books!!

How can you NOT love this little girl? She is such a fun girl and I cant believe she is getting so big!! I LOVE YOU KAYLI!!
