Christmas in January!!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Bocker sent the kids their Christmas presents at the end of January and they were so excited for the surprise gifts! Kayli was a bit confused and kept asking me if it was Christmas time again already and if we were going to get another tree!!

Kayli got a cute doll and Caiden got a nice big car! What more could a little girl and boy ask for? Kayli has TONS of dolls, but this one is by far her favorite…even now!

Primary!!

Kayli is officially in Primary! I was pretty nervous because my sister and I team teach one of the Sunbeam classes and Kayli is the only cousin that is not in our class. I thought it was going to be an issue that Eli and Savannah get to be in our class, but she isnt. She has done really well though. Sharing Time is a little rough at times because her class is in the row just in front of us and she has a tendency to turn around and talk to me or Aunt Ali or her cousins, but this week was much better than last!

Last week her teacher asked for volunteers to give a talk and Kayli was super excited and told her that she wanted to be the one to talk into the microphone about Jesus. Pete and I both laughed and thought it would go something like her standing at the podium with her head down, her eyes peering up at the audience and refusing to say a word. Thankfully we were soo wrong! She has been talking about it all week and yesterday morning I got out the leap frog microphone and let her practice saying her little “talk” into it. She was shy and silly at first, but she must have done it 10 times yesterday, she even slept with the microphone. We went to the church building last night for a baptism and Kayli was so confused, she thought it was her turn to talk into the microphone about Jesus! This morning we practiced one more time with the mic and then we were off to church. All through sacrament she asked about talking into the microphone and on the way to Primary she panicked and told me she forgot her microphone. I reassured her that they had a better one in Primary to use.

The time arrived and she did such a GREAT job! She looked at the kids, head held high and even spoke loudly and clearly. She even smiled the whole time! Pete and I are so proud of her little talk today! It went like this “Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Heavenly Father sent Him here to organize His church, preach the Gospel, suffer and die for our sins, and be resurrected. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.” We love you Kayli and are soo proud of you!!

Christmas Pictures!

Pete’s parents were here for Christmas and his Dad took a video of the kids opening all of their presents (THANKS DAD!!). Im usually the one behind the camera so I really LOVE this video he took. I didnt take many pictures at all, but here are a few I did snap!

Christmas Eve opening up her presents from the “cousin gift exchange”. She was ripping that thing open look at the wind in her hair! LOL (Caiden slept through all of this…so no pics of him)

The Tradition of new PJs on Christmas Eve. My sister Ali made all 30 pairs this year…the family is GROWING!! I need to learn to sew so I can be of some assistance! =) She made the little girls these adorable hooded dress style PJs. Kayli even wears hers as a dress with some leggings!

Just after Santa left…
