So Im a little behind, but here are some pics from our most recent trip to the Zoo! We walked around and did the Zoo thing for about 2 hours and then spent an hour playing in the water. They have a SUPER fun Splash Pad that both of the kids just LOVED! We had a lot of fun, and even brought Ian and Grandpa along!

We tried out the NEW Giraffe Encounter…what a waste of money! You pay$3 per person even if you are the parent taking a child, and you get 3 small pieces of food to feed them. Then they quickly usher you down the ramp and out of the encounter. I made them walk right back up the ramp (the wrong way) to snap some pics! Kayli was pretty scared, but talked about it all day.

They both LOVED watching all the fish in this tank.

Playing in the water. I was on kid (x2) and camera patrol so this is all I got from the splash pad, but its really cool.

Caiden was exhausted after playing in the water, he is soaking wet in this pic, but didnt even care he was so tired.

Cant wait to take the kids back, they both had a blast. For a week everytime we got in the car Kayli would ask me if we were going to the Zoo.

Pete published my last post before I was done (he thought he was being helpful), so here are some of the things that Caiden is LOVING right now! 

Caiden LOVES to eat. I seriously never thought a baby could eat so much! Maybe its a boy thing, I don’t know! He is so not picky either. I haven’t found anything that he flat out refuses to eat, but he will only eat bananas and avocados about 50% of the time that I offer them. Other than that if its edible he will eat it! And if its not edible, he will still try to eat it. One of his favorite inedible items is rocks, I cant keep them out of his mouth when we are out back! He can seriously out eat Kayli on any given day! Here he is finishing up Pete’s corn on the cob the other night. He got so mad when I took it away a few minutes later.

He LOVES playing in the water. Bath time is his favorite time of the day. I always leave a little trickle of water on for him to play with and he always gets under it and drinks the water! 

Ever wonder why random Kleenex tissues and pieces of toilet paper are strewn about my house? Here is the reason! Caiden LOVES the stuff, I even find him trying to eat it from time to time, Yuck! Sometimes I give him a roll of toilet paper so that I can have peace and quiet while I take my 5 minute shower (otherwise he sits outside the shower and beats on the door and whines). It’s a good thing I get Kleenex and toilet paper for free! This time he got the box of tissues on his own…

Here are a few of the things that the kids are LOVING right now!
Kayli LOVES to color, she is getting amazing at it as well. Today I was shocked to see her coloring in the lines and using different colors for different things (a shirt and hair for example). The down side to all the coloring is that she forgets, or ignores, the rules and I end up with marker, crayon or pen on clothing, walls, tile grout, the couch, the nice white trash can, all over kayli (at least she doesn’t color Caiden)  and just about anywhere else its NOT allowed. We are working on that though! Here she is getting every last bit of coloring time in before bed. 

She also LOVES playing with her cousins, she wakes up EVERY morning asking to go to Tj and Eli’s house. She gets to see them everyday while Ali and I go to the gym. Im so glad she has cousins that are close by, they have a lot of fun together! Here are Kayli and Eli playing in the pool!

Of course her favorite place to be is on the farm! Who could blame her? There are ducks, chickens, dogs, cats, a rooster, a goat, a horse and her favorite, Patsy the pony. Not to mention endless space to run and play. When she doesn’t wake up asking to go to her cousins, she instead asks to go to Goddess’ house! She is so good around all of the animals, she even rides Patsy bareback!! She is like a natural up there and really couldn’t be happier!
